Jackus

Jackus is a noble knight from Europe, who believes deeply in chivalry and honor. After waking up in the future, he's completely out of his depth and needs the help from the colony to help update his armor, clothing and weapons to be able to face Akuvius’s forces and survive in the harsh post apocalyptic world.

Jackus holds onto his roots deeply. Very traditionalist, thus wanting to keep similarities between his old and new equipment. Visually, he carries similarities to traditional knights, with a lot of modifications being done to help him combat specifically the cold environments.

 Chakam

Chakam is the son of his tribe’s Halach Uinik, which is basically the leader and ruler of the community. Chakam has really big shoes to fill as his father was the hero that defeated the King of the Underworld and stopped his attempt to destroy the other gods and take over the world. That made Chakam grow up with a lot of responsibility and pressure to live up to expectations, training from a very young age to be able to protect his home, however his father dies before being able to complete his training, leaving him unprepared to fight when Ah Puch rised again. Because of this, he gets defeated and hurled in time and place, visiting the celtic/norse culture and the japanese culture, where he completes his training, picking up new abilities, armor and tools to be able to return home and defeat Ah Puch once and for all.

Being the son of a hero, and with the responsibility that comes from that, Chakam’s personality is in general very pragmatic, serious, without time to enjoy himself, making him socially awkward and distant but with a good heart nonetheless. After his defeat, grief and regret fill his mind, and he has to learn to cope with those feelings and focus on becoming stronger to fulfill his purpose.

As for his appearance, he begins with regular mayan clothes, and as he visits other cultures his outfit and posture upgrades with elements he finds in his travels.

Biography:

‘Jack’ is a young warrior born and raised in a time when civilization is flourishing. She is strong, ambitious, and wants to earn the respect of others. As a warrior living in a time of (mostly) peace, opportunities to perform great feats in battle are few and far between. However, in the rare chances that she does get to prove herself, Jack has always emerged victorious. This has impressed many tribe leaders and they are currently considering allowing her to join their ranks.

To Jack’s disappointment, some leaders are having reservations about this due to her youth and/or tendency to act rashly. In an attempt to sway the opinions of those who doubt her, she frees the malevolent river god Aku from his imprisonment with the intent of killing him in combat. She nearly succeeds but the god manages to cast her into the future before she can end the battle.

The Future takes place 700 years later. The world is a flooded wasteland dominated by Aku. Jack emerges from the time portal disoriented, with no recollection of her battle with Aku. She resolves to find out the events that led to the current circumstances and return to her original time period. Throughout her journey, Jack must adapt to the current time, defeat monsters, rescue human survivors, and eventually confront Aku.

*The player only knows as much information as Jack when she is in the future, and will find out alongside her what happened that caused this timeline to prevail.
