For next class, submit these documents:
1. Creative design brief (a few paragraphs)
Written document defining the world of your Samurai Jack redesign. Is the result of the empathize-define-idealize process. Can be in bullet points. You can answer questions such as:
- Game genre and target audience
- Time period (historical setting)
- Where? (cultural setting) (geographical, ecological)
- Social status, social class
- Circumstances (war, conflicts, disaster?)
- Magical power source? (the Force?)
- Technological level
- Different laws of physics?
2. Mood board (1-2 jpg)
- What is the mood and atmosphere in the game?
- Colours, vibes and feelings you want to evoke
- Could include any artform as references
3. Reference board (1-2 jpgs)
- Collection of visual details that inform your shape language
- Directed by your chosen historical and cultural setting
- Avoid concept art, illustration, game art, movies as your sources
4. Target art style board (1 jpg)
- A few examples of the art style that you're going for
- Indicates level of stylization, colour choices, tone, level of detail, etc
- Doesn't need to match your genre or setting at all (better if it doesn't)
