Backstory from week 1:
Mongolian Jack:
Jack lives as a nomad from a tribe north of China when the
Chinese Magi-Emperor kills most of his clan in a punitive invasion of the
steppe. Jack goes through a training montage in which he learns the barbarian
arts visiting famous tribes all over the world. Leading a horde in an invasion
of China, he gets sent forward into a Judge Dredd-esque dystopian China. Jack
rides a cool motorcycle organizing raids on the steppe borderlands of
future-China while the Emperor sends secret police and psychic eunuchs after
him. Jack soon discovers that many of the Emperor’s subjects want to rid
themselves of the Emperor too, and becomes involved in Imperial court intrigue
and plots.
To properly foil Aku (parasitic worm emperor), I want Jack’s design to reflect chaos
and self sufficiency. Jack’s character arc also demands that he goes from more
of a warrior that fights head on to being a more clandestine actor. Travelling
to the future also necessitates picking up pieces of modern dress while retaining
Mongol motifs.
