Genre:
Action, Adventure, 3rd person RPG
Target Audience:
13+
Setting:
- Fantasy world inspired by the Amazon river/rainforest and the cultures of indigenous Amazonian tribes.
- The past is based on the period around 1300 – 1400 CE, before the arrival of western explorers.
- The future has a post-apocalyptic look, though there is a strong influence of their traditional aesthetic.
Tech:
- Mostly made of organic materials gathered from the land. Weapons and equipment usually consist of stone, wood, bone, rope and some decorative elements (ie: feathers, beads, carved patterns, etc).
- In the future, metals are introduced. Guns and heavier armor would become available equipment options.
Magic:
- For humans, only shamans can use magic without needing a tool to channel it out. They are the ones responsible for imbuing magic into equipment and providing various amulets that grant the wearer different abilities/protections (ex: can breathe underwater, invisibility to monsters, enhanced defense, etc).
- The Player can go to the shamans for equipment upgrades and to buy supplies for their journey.
- There is a limit to the amount of amulets the Player can have activated simultaneously
Story:
- The Past: A mostly peaceful time when civilization is flourishing. The Player Character is a young but accomplished hero currently being considered for a promotion. However, some community leaders are having reservations about this due to her (or his) youth and rashness/overconfidence. In an attempt to prove her competence, she frees a malevolent river god (based on Boiúna) from his imprisonment with the intent of killing him in combat. She nearly succeeds but the god manages to cast her into the future before she can end the battle.
- The Future: Takes place 700 years later. The world is a flooded wasteland dominated by aquatic monsters and ruled by the river god. Humans are forced to take refuge in the forest canopy (or any unsubmerged areas) and are struggling to survive. The Player must rectify her mistake by defeating monsters, rescuing human survivors, and ultimately vanquishing the river god.
