Creatures: Snatchers (Baku)
These creatures are extremely rare and despite their peaceful nature, humans consider them a threat to their species. The Snatchers have seen their population diminish to the point that today it is rare to come across one in a lifetime. They are discreet creatures that despite their imposing size, never venture near cities.
They are the only beings to feed on the magic in living beings. Content with the magic of small insects and vegetation, the Snatchers can, if they feel threatened, absorb the magic of humans. Among these creatures, some stand out from the others, they are called Bakus. These are very old creatures, and as a result they have been able to absorb such a huge amount of magic that they have become even more powerful. Absorbing a considerable amount of magic, from a human for example, can also turn a Snatcher into a Baku, as was the case with the one Lack is chasing.
A Baku can be recognized by its larger size, and its four-legged stance because it is heavier after absorbing so much magic. It is said that the magic bubbles on his back shine near the portals leading to other worlds.
