Much like Jack's character design, I wanted the village to also reflect self sufficiency and chaos. To me the Mongol yurt, a plain and austere shelter made with very analogue materials already fit the bill well. To push the idea further though, I brought in references of the eagle and tiger, two very solitary predators (self-sufficient) significant to Mongol culture, trying to use their silhouettes and details in tent designs.
