Before the release of Aku:
Jack’s hometown is a large,
thriving village located on the banks of a river. It is one of the many
villages that make up a stable, peaceful state run by a council of leaders representing
each tribe. The architecture incorporates elements/shape languages of the local
flora and is composed mostly of wood, straw, mud and plant materials. Patterns,
ornamentations, and bright colors are often included. Many buildings,
especially those closer to or on the water, are on stilts to accommodate for
flooding.
The Future:
The original village was
completely destroyed by the massive flooding brought upon by Aku. The
descendants of the villagers have since relocated to the canopies of the
rainforest, where they can still live above water level. Structures in this
time period are built with the objective of camouflaging with their surrounding
environment, to avoid detection from Aku and other monsters.
