I'm torn between Jason and the Argonauts and the Immortal White Snake.
I'm sure we can discuss this one on one in class, but my dilemma is that I enjoy the individual assets of Jasons, but I have a stronger vision of a narrative direction for White Snake.
White Snake: A dark fantasy Chinese inspired setting, the game would be an RPG-Adventure that features Karmic ties, and multiple sad endings, where your choices matter. It would have a melancholy tone, You'd play as Su Zhen, fighting off demons while being hunted by the Taoist officials all while trying to be reunited with your husband. I'd like to give it a lot of NieR energy, but the visuals would be more Witcher-y.
Jason and the Argonauts: I resonate more with the individual assets then the actual story of Jason, so I'd propose liquidating the assets into a personal project of mine. I'd still be doing Harpies, Giant metal Guardian, Golden Fleece, Colcaus Palace interior etc, but I'd re-interpret them into my own IP. The IP's setting is a Metroidvania with a cross between steampunk-science fiction and traditional dark fantasy. Kind of a Dune, meets Nausicaa meets Dark Souls visual.
